2021 Taiwan Excellence Combined Ceramic Bearings

TPI first introduced Hybrid Bearings for bicycle hubs several years ago. They were assembled in hubs and wheels for track bikes. Test shows that 0.3 second reduction was achieved by Olympic athlete thanks to its low friction and high stiffness to weight ratio properties.

The ceramic material used in these whole new Combined Ceramic Bearings follows ASTM F2094 Standard and are manufactured by automated machine above industrial standard. They provide excellent friction property for hubs where 90% bearing friction loss is consumed. In comparison with the All Ceramic Ball Bearings last year, Combined Ceramic Bearings are certainly a cost-effective solution while the technical properties still maintained.
